There are four types of Murdha Tail Shiras Tarpanam: Shiro Abhyanga, Shiro Seka/Dhara, Shiro Pichu, and Shiro Basti.

In Shiro Abhyanga, the head is massaged with herbal oils for the whole process, lasting for about 30-40 minutes.

During a Shiro Seka/Dhara treatment, the therapist pours herbal oils onto the patient’s head for 35-60 minutes.
